My Son Sanctuary is a famous heritage of Quang Nam province with an architectural complex including many unique Champa temples. The relic site was discovered in 1885 and recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1995

My Son Sanctuary is hidden deep in the valley surrounded by mountains. In the past, this place used to be a place to worship as well as place the tombs of the ancient Champa kings.

My Son Sanctuary is a heritage complex with the architecture of the ancient Cham Pa people in Duy Phu commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province. This area has a diameter of about 2km with more than 70 different temples and towers bearing many historical architectural features typical for each development stage of ancient Champa.

My Son Sanctuary, dating from about the 4th century under King Pham Ho Dat's reign, is a place to worship Linga and Shiva. After the next two centuries, the temple burned down in a great fire. And in the 7th century, King Pham Pham Chi had to rebuild the temples - relics that still exist today.

The architecture of My Son Sanctuary with its unique and sophisticated design is divided into 6 typical types: ancient style, Hoa Lai, My Son, Ponagar, Dong Duong and the style of the people of Binh Dinh. When traveling to My Son Sanctuary, visitors will see the characteristics of this architectural form that are stone carvings, statues of Siva, statues of dancers dancing in the Cham Pa style.

Over time, the relic was also partly destroyed by the bombing of the US army on Vietnam. However, this place still has many intact towers and unique architecture that attracts visitors.

My Son Sanctuary with more than 70 intricately carved temples bearing many important inscriptions in Sanskrit and Cham. This relic was forgotten until 1898, a Frenchman and his colleagues discovered the relic hidden in the forest, in the middle of the valley surrounded by two majestic mountains.

In addition, another special impression that makes My Son holy place famous is the brick used to build the ancient towers. The bricks are fired and block cut, then stacked skillfully without the use of any kind of binder. Over the centuries, the My Son sanctuary has not been weathered but only cracked a very small part.

 Unique 8m wide ancient road

This is the ancient road leading to the My Son holy site, discovered by an Indian expert during the restoration and restoration of the central spiers located in the core of the resort. The ancient road has a width of up to 8m, with 2 parallel walls, a depth of 1m buried in the ground.

According to recorded historical documents, this is the road leading directly to the center of the heritage, where there is a large gate tower used for sacrifices that only kings and members of the royal family, noble dignitaries. of ancient Champa were allowed to enter. The wall system on both sides of the road is delicately and skillfully carved. This important discovery has contributed to increasing the long-standing historical values ​​that the My Son holy site brings.

There is Apsara dance inspired by Apsara sculpted sandstone statues. This is considered a smooth and flexible dance with the title "Soul of the stone" to honor the flexible curves of women.

This dance is currently used to perform in important art programs of Quang Nam province as well as for tourist groups to visit My Son holy land. You will feel lost in the ancient land of Champa with the image of girls with elongated fingers, round breasts and seductive curves in sparkling and brilliant costumes that blend with the sound of Paranung drums and drums. The sound of Saranai trumpet makes visitors even more infatuated.

Kate festival is one of the important festivals of the Cham people, usually held in July every year according to the Cham calendar. Đã được đến đây trong ngày thời tiết hơi cực đoan tuy hơi đau đầu nhưng bù lại cảnh thương người. Vừa bước chân xuống là mưa xối xả, cơn mưa cuối đông kèm theo chút nắng làm cho cảnh vật càng trở nên huyền ảo. Mưa tầm 20 phút là tạnh mọi thứ dưới ánh nắng càng trở nên long lanh hơn. Đưa con đi trải nghiệm di sản thế giới. Tuy bé chưa hiểu mọi thứ nhưng thấy con thắc mắc này nọ thấy cũng vui.
